Material Used:
EMM can be produced in Hot/Cold Rolled Carbon Steel Sheet/ plates, Galvanized, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and in different alloy materials namely Copper, Brass, Silver and other metals.
Manufacturing Process and Comparison with Wire Mesh:
In the process of manufacturing of EMM, the sheet is orthogonally collided with die resulting in slitting and expansion of the material in order to form diamond shape holes of uniform sizes. As the loss of metal is negligible thus making EMM cost effective. The stretching of its length depends on the thickness sheared from the material which is another best reason for its cost effectiveness.
Comparing with wire mesh, EMM is neither welded nor woven or can be separated. It surpasses wire mesh in strength and durability and better impact resistance.
